02 / What we measure
Seven points that decide whether AI lands
Most AI projects don't fail on the model but on one of these seven. That's why we measure all seven, including the soft ones.
01
Strategy and vision
Is there a shared AI vision in the management team, and who holds the mandate? Without an owner, AI stays a hobby of a few enthusiasts.
02
Data readiness
Is the information digital, central and structured? And are there examples of good work AI can learn from?
03
Technology
Which systems are there, and how easily can you connect something new? An ERP with an open API saves weeks of building.
04
People and skills
Does the team know AI tools and prompting, and is there time to learn? This is often where the quickest gains are.
05
Processes
Are processes written down, with steps you can measure? What you can't describe, you can't automate.
06
Policy and risk
Is it agreed what is and isn't allowed with AI, client data and privacy? A short AI policy prevents a lot of trouble.
07
Culture and change
Is there room to try, fail and learn? This is where the real resistance is, and software doesn't fix it.

03 / Reading your result
What do you do with your lowest score?
Your lowest score isn't a grade. It's your starting point, because that's where the biggest gain is. Per point:
- Strategy low: make a list of processes with a number attached. That's exactly what the AI Quick Scan delivers. Also read how to set an AI strategy.
- Data low: don't start building. Without data or examples we cap the confidence of an opportunity at 40%. Foundation first, then the build.
- Technology low: check which systems have an integration. With n8n we connect many systems without replacing anything.
- People low: a workshop of half a day pays off fastest here. The team learns to prompt and build its own assistants.
- Processes low: map one process in steps and give each step three numbers: duration, people, frequency. Work out the saving.
- Policy low: put what's allowed on one page, and make sure people know it.
- Culture low: start small and visible. One process that works convinces more than ten presentations. Olaf's motto: don't let it drive you crazy, start small.
“Don't let it drive you crazy. Start small.”
04 / Four phases
From prompting to agents: which phase are you in?
Besides your profile, it helps to know which phase of AI adoption you're in. Most organizations are in phase 1. The real value is in phases 3 and 4.
Where are you? Click a phase.
- What it looks like
- People use ChatGPT or Copilot for an email or a summary. The handy ones save time, the rest watch.
- What you need
- Licences, a few ground rules and basic prompting skills.
- What it delivers
- Personal and hard to measure. The organization barely notices.

06 / Questions
Questions about the AI self-assessment
What is the AI self-assessment?
A free online test of seven questions to estimate how far your organization is with AI. You score strategy, data, technology, people, processes, policy and culture from 1 to 5. You see your profile straight away and where best to start.
How long does it take?
About two minutes. Seven questions, one per point, and your profile appears as you fill it in.
Do I need to enter my email?
No. You see your profile without leaving anything behind. If you'd like an analysis, you can send your profile. Then a person from NinA replies, not an automatic email.
How is it different from the AI Quick Scan?
The self-assessment is your own estimate in two minutes. The AI Quick Scan is a day on site with management, team and shop floor. Within a week you get a baseline on the same seven points, a business case per opportunity, an impact-effort matrix, a roadmap and a package recommendation. It costs € 6,000 excl. VAT.
What is a good score?
There's no good or bad score. A 2 on data isn't a failure but a task: foundation first, then the build. In a partnership we work towards the target shown by the dashed line in your profile within twelve months.
What happens to my answers?
As long as you don't send your profile, the answers stay in your browser. If you send it, we only use it to send you an analysis. See our privacy policy.
Got your profile? Discuss it in fifteen minutes
We look at your lowest score together and what the logical first step is. Sometimes that's a workshop, sometimes the AI Quick Scan, sometimes nothing yet.
